Modern Slavery Statement
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the actions that Man with Van Millwall has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within our operations and supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Man with Van Millwall maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and the exploitation of children or vulnerable adults. This commitment applies to all aspects of our business, including our direct workforce, agency workers, contractors, and all tiers of our supply chain.
All employees and suppliers are expected to uphold the highest standards of human rights and labour practices. Any form of coercion, abuse of power, retention of identity documents, or withholding of wages as a means of control is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with our zero-tolerance policy will result in appropriate action, which may include termination of contracts and referral to the relevant authorities.
Our Supply Chain and Supplier Standards
Our supply chain primarily comprises vehicle providers, fuel suppliers, equipment suppliers, and subcontracted logistics and labour services. We expect all suppliers to share our commitment to the prevention of modern slavery and to operate in line with applicable labour and human rights legislation.
We communicate our expectations clearly to existing and potential suppliers and reserve the right to end relationships with any party that is found to be involved in, or turning a blind eye to, modern slavery or human trafficking practices.
Supplier Audits and Due Diligence
Man with Van Millwall carries out proportionate due diligence on key suppliers and high-risk categories. This includes assessing their employment practices, reviewing available policies, and requesting information relating to worker welfare and labour standards where appropriate.
We may conduct audits, either announced or unannounced, focusing on working conditions, wages, working hours, and freedom of movement and association. Where risks are identified, we work with suppliers to implement corrective actions within a reasonable timeframe. Persistent non-compliance, or evidence of modern slavery, will result in the suspension or termination of the commercial relationship.
Training, Awareness, and Responsibilities
Responsibility for overseeing our modern slavery approach rests with senior management, who ensure that this statement and our supporting procedures are implemented throughout the business. Managers are responsible for communicating expectations to their teams and to relevant suppliers.
We provide appropriate guidance and awareness-raising for employees whose roles place them in a position to identify potential indicators of modern slavery, such as those involved in procurement, subcontractor management, and recruitment. Staff are encouraged to remain vigilant and to report any concerns immediately.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Man with Van Millwall fosters a culture of openness and accountability. We encourage employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers to report any concerns about modern slavery or unethical labour practices without fear of retaliation.
Concerns can be raised through existing internal reporting lines or directly to management. All reports are taken seriously and will be treated confidentially to the fullest extent possible. We commit to investigating all allegations promptly and thoroughly, and to taking appropriate remedial action where wrongdoing is identified.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that combating modern slavery is an ongoing process requiring continuous improvement. Man with Van Millwall will review this Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement annually to evaluate the effectiveness of our measures and to identify areas for further enhancement.
As part of the annual review, we will consider any changes in legislation, emerging best practice, and feedback from employees and suppliers. Where necessary, we will update our policies, procedures, and training to ensure that our approach remains robust and aligned with our zero-tolerance stance.
This statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Millwall and represents our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains.
